Recently, the national “863†plan “12th Five-Year†major project in the field of advanced manufacturing technology – “Micro-invasive medical robot research†was launched at Harbin Institute of Technology.
The “Minimally Invasive Medical Robot Research†project is aimed at the industrialization development trend and actual needs of medical robots, based on independent innovation, and taking the safety, reliability, pleasantness and standardization of minimally invasive surgery robots as a breakthrough to develop the commonality of minimally invasive medical robots. Technical research, development of medical robot systems and typical artificial organ products and demonstration applications.
It is understood that the project has set up five sub-topics such as "Research and Application Demonstration of Common Key Techniques of Minimally Invasive Surgery Robots", "Development of Abdominal Thoracic Surgery Robots", and "Research and Application Demonstration of Intelligent Orthopedic Diagnosis and Treatment Equipment for Wounded Medical Centers in Remote Surgery Areas of Xinjiang" It is jointly undertaken by Harbin Institute of Technology, Chongqing Jinshan Technology Group, Peking University School of Medicine, Xinjiang Medical University, and Suzhou Tongxin Medical Device Company.
