The authors inspected the symptoms of the diseased plants at the scene. The plants were significantly dwarfed, and the height was less than half that of the normal plants. The internodes contracted abruptly, and the leaves near the growing point were larger. The position of the leaves was higher than the growing point, and the growth point was reduced within the leaves. Weak, slow growth. After analysis, it was diagnosed as cucumber head turtle disease.
The cause of the disease:
First, it is cold and cold. Snowfall led to a low temperature in the greenhouse, and the disease shed was mostly seedlings planted immediately after the snowfall. In the later period, it was managed according to the conventional methods, but there was more hazy weather this winter, the light illumination was insufficient, and the ground temperature did not meet the requirements, causing physiological disorders. Cucumber plants showed obvious shortening between the internodes, with thicker and smaller leaves, leafy mesophyll uplift, downward curling of the leaf margins, the leaves were parachute-like, and the melon-applied parts moved upwards, close to or reached the point of growth. The topmost unfolding leaf bends forward to cover the growing point, and some leaves have dry spots.
The second is weak growth. Plant growth is weak, vegetative growth is obviously insufficient, but reproductive growth is excessive, causing the growth point to shrink. The lower leaves are generally normal, but the upper leaves become smaller, the stem becomes thinner, and the growing point becomes smaller.
The third is improper watering when planting. The time of colonization of the local cucumber is different. The incidence of colonization is too early or too late. The plants that are not irrigated in time after planting are obviously short, the roots are underdeveloped, the plants grow slowly or not after the colonization, the leaves are small and small, and the growth points are cracked. Or disappear.
The fourth is soil salinization. Some greenhouses are seriously affected by soil salinization. After planting, they affect the absorption of trace elements in the soil by roots, resulting in malnutrition, resulting in atrophy of the growing points and short plants.
Looking at the atrophy of the growing point in different situations, the main reason for this is the root system is inhibited or damaged. Therefore, comprehensive measures should be taken to save the root and stimulate the roots to restore growth and produce new roots.
1. Temperature management. When the temperature is around 15°C in the morning, the weather is released at 35°C in the morning and the air outlet is closed when the temperature drops to around 26°C in the afternoon, so that it can be operated continuously for 5-7 days.
2. Fertilization. Foliar sprayed with foliar fertilizer containing boron and zinc, plus amino oligosaccharides and brassin, sprayed after 4 pm. Spray once every 5-7 days and spray twice.
3. Irrigation. Infusing agents that promote root development, such as rejuvenating fluids or loyal five-star biological agents containing biological bacteria.
