Restricted feeding generally starts from the 4th to 8th weeks. There are three methods for limiting the amount of feeding: limited amount, limited quality, and limited time.

Precautions
The method of feeding restriction shall be determined according to the feeding methods, management methods, duck breeds, breeding season and environmental conditions of the duck farm. But no matter which method you take, you should pay attention to the following points:
According to the duck's weight, it is flexible. Only when the weight exceeds the standard is the restriction of feeding. Before feed restriction, they must be weighed, and then sampled once a week for weighing. Usually, 5% to 10% of each group will be tested. Determine the actual amount of feed this week and maintain it for a week to ensure that the duck approaches the standard body weight. If the weight exceeds the standard 2%, the amount of feeding should be adjusted as appropriate.
There is enough food trough. Due to the restriction of feeding, every time you eat a duck, you will rob it ferociously. If you eat a small amount of food, you will see a phenomenon of “weak meatâ€. Weak duck intake is too small, strong ducks can not reach the purpose of limiting feeding, so that the development of ducks are not neat.
Consider the total economic benefits. It is not possible to increase costs due to restrictions on feeding, resulting in excessive death of ducks or reduced performance.
Special circumstances. In the feeding restriction process, if vaccination, onset, transfer, high temperature, etc. are encountered, they should be converted to normal feeding in time. Take timely measures against stunted ducks and feed or eliminate them separately.
Combined with light photography. The length and strength of light are also related to sexual maturity. When feeding is limited, better results may be obtained if combined with a limited photoperiod.
