The solution that the centrifuge rotor cannot be removed

If the centrifuge is used improperly in the laboratory, it will cause the rotor to not be taken out, and the experiment process will be delayed. Generally, there is no way to take it out of the centrifugal chamber, mainly because the back end is bonded to the spindle of the centrifuge motor. According to the experience of using centrifuges for many years, during the centrifugation process, there may be condensed water or inadvertently spilled liquid between the main shaft and the center hole of the returning head. When the centrifugation is over, if it is turned back without pulling the time, it is used continuously. In the long run, corrosion and bonding will occur between the main shaft and the return head, and finally the operator has no way to take it back. This type of phenomenon is more likely to occur on high-speed refrigerated centrifuges. Here are a few ways to solve this problem.

Simple method

First unscrew the original locking screw and screw it into the threaded hole of the spindle with a screw of the same thread size. Note that the end is not completely screwed in. The two men cooperated, one person clasped his hands and turned back slightly upwards, paying attention to not being too strong, so as not to deform the motor support frame, and another person hammering the screw on the upper part of the motor spindle through a thin rod. After repeated several times, it is normal to disengage the head from the spindle.

2. Special tool method

If the above method cannot be taken back, it indicates that the bonding condition is serious. It is possible to first drop a rust remover into the joint between the main shaft and the returning head for rust removal and wetting. After waiting for a day or so, use a special puller to take it back. For the same reason, first select the appropriate size of the puller according to the size of the return head, then pull the puller to the bottom of the back, and pull the screw head to the screw in the threaded hole of the spindle to straighten the puller position. After that, use a wrench to rotate the screw clockwise. According to the mechanical principle of the screw, the puller of the puller will generate a huge pulling force, which will separate the returning head from the main shaft.

3. Pay attention to the essentials

(1) Regardless of the method, a replacement screw must be screwed into the threaded hole of the spindle to protect the spindle thread and the original locking screw.

Otherwise, if the original thread is damaged, it may be made into a motor scrap.

(2) Use force to understand the size, do not brute force. When the resistance is too large, the time for derusting and infiltration can be prolonged.

(3) After returning it, use sandpaper to polish the outer surface of the spindle and the inner surface of the inner hole. Remove the rust and apply grease to prevent re-bonding.

3. Preventive measures

(1) Enhance the maintenance of the weekdays. The joint surface of the head and the main shaft should be wiped clean and greased.

(2) Especially for high-speed refrigerated centrifuges, do not close the door immediately after use. The moisture, condensate and corrosive gases in the centrifuge chamber should be evaporated, return to normal temperature, and then close the door.

(3) Every time the centrifuge is centrifuged, it is necessary to take time and take it back. If it is a turn back for many days without changing and not taking it out, it is easy to stick. In the worst case, the whole machine will be scrapped.

(4) When tightening the screw every time, the force cannot be applied too much, otherwise it will be made into the screw sliding wire tripping, and in serious cases, the motor will be scrapped. Because the motor rotates counterclockwise, when it is speeded up, the inertia screw itself will produce a clockwise tightening force, which can make the return head fasten. Therefore, when tightening the head, it is only necessary to feel the slightest difficulty on the wrist.
