Ebola’s death toll doubles, WHO warns of traditional methods or failure

Release date: 2014-09-12

According to the World Health Organization, the Ebola virus has caused 2,288 deaths (4,269 patients) since the outbreak, and there is a trend of further spread, with 47% of deaths and 49% of patients appearing in the past three weeks. Even more worrisome is that WHO warns that traditional methods of control may have failed on the Ebola virus.

According to the BBC, the latest data released by the World Health Organization show that 47% of deaths and 49% of patients have appeared in the past three weeks, showing a more obvious spread. In Nigeria, 8 out of 21 patients have died, and Senegal has confirmed a new patient. And Liberia, which has the highest mortality rate, may explode thousands of cases. WHO has asked major medical institutions to take greater efforts to control the Ebola virus on Monday. But the WHO also warned that traditional methods of control may have lost their effectiveness. Avoiding contact with patients or wearing protective gear seems to have not achieved the desired results in Liberia.

The red area in the figure below indicates that the Ebola virus area has been confirmed, while the white area represents the area with suspected cases.

The chart below shows the apparent increase in cases and deaths.

The table below is the latest WHO statistics.

Sweet Corn Cob

A medium-sized ear of corn provides more than 10% of our daily dietary fiber requirements. Rich dietary fiber can help the body to carry out a rapid metabolism function, but also can make a strong sense of satiety.
The same amount of corn is lower in calories than rice, contains natural rather than added sugar, and is high in fiber, which can help gastrointestinal digestion, and has more vitamins, so it is a good food worth eating more. However, there is a limit to what you eat, and the food that will not gain weight will make you fat if you eat too much, at least, it will not make you thin. It can only be said that relatively speaking, eating corn is much healthier than eating those high-calorie snacks, and it is not easy to gain weight.
Moreover, the large amount of natural vitamin E contained in fresh corn has the functions of promoting cell division, delaying cell aging, lowering serum cholesterol, preventing skin lesions, and reducing the symptoms of arteriosclerosis and brain function decline.
